Terms & Conditions

Use of this website means that you accept these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with them, please do not access or use the site.

San Luis Obispo County Busted Mugshots is privately owned and unaffiliated with any government body, sheriff, jail, or corrections department. It is not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency. Neither the site nor its advertising partners provides credit, employment, insurance, tenant-screening, or other FCRA-covered services.

The Site’s Limited Role

This private reference stores no official government record and cannot verify custody, release anyone, post bond, or submit a public filing. It has no authority over San Luis Obispo County agencies or California corrections systems.

Its pages point visitors toward public jail and inmate-record resources, official booking and court systems, and third-party research tools. The agency that created a record remains the proper source for confirmation.

Acceptable Use Rules

Access is conditioned on lawful and responsible use. You agree that you will not:

  • Use the site while violating any law.
  • Stalk, threaten, harass, or harm another person.
  • Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on site content.
  • Attempt to enter any system without authorization.
  • Operate bots, scrapers, or automated extraction tools.
  • Disrupt access, performance, or service for others.

No Consumer Reports

This site is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It supplies no background check, credit report, consumer report, or screening service, and neither do its advertising partners through this site. You agree not to use any information for:

  • A decision to hire, retain, or dismiss a worker.
  • Tenant selection or any housing decision.
  • Credit eligibility, lending, or insurance pricing.
  • Licensing, permits, or government-program eligibility.
  • Any other purpose governed by the FCRA.

External Services and Links

Links may lead to jail rosters, booking feeds, sheriff and corrections pages, government portals, legal resources, news coverage, and outside search providers. Those destinations are not endorsed or controlled here. Their owners determine their availability, content, privacy practices, and terms, which you should review.

Service Provided As Is

The site and all content are supplied “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, no warranty is made concerning:

  • The accuracy, completeness, or present status of information.
  • Continuous or uninterrupted access.
  • The absence of errors, defects, or security weaknesses.
  • The scope or quality of a partner’s search results.

Custody and public records can change quickly. Nothing on this private site is an official statement from the Sheriff or another government office.

Limits of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the site, its owners, and its contributors are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or other damages arising from access to, use of, or inability to use the site or a linked service.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend and hold harmless the site, its owners, and its partners from claims, losses, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from your use of the service or your breach of these terms.

Ownership of Site Materials

Unless stated otherwise, the original text, graphics, logos, and code belong to San Luis Obispo County Busted Mugshots or its content partners. They may not be copied, redistributed, altered, or republished without written permission.

Changes to These Conditions

These terms may be revised at any time. A new version becomes effective when it is posted, and continued use after posting means acceptance of the revised conditions.

Suspension of Access

Access may be restricted, suspended, or ended at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice.

California Law Applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be filed in a court with proper authority in California.

If One Term Fails

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in force. The affected provision will be narrowed only as much as needed to make it enforceable.
